US$ 500 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit per person per booking or US$ 5000 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit per charter is required to secure your booking.
Payment of deposit is due within 5 working days after the booking is made.
Unsecured bookings will be held for 5 working days or until required by other clients.
Demand for prime time is heavy and it is recommended that bookings are made and deposits paid to avoid disappointment.
In the event of cancellation by registrant up to 120 days prior to departure, deposit is NON REFUNDABLE but transferable once with the consent of Mentawai Blue.
In the event of cancellation by registrant up to 60 days prior to departure, all payments are NON REFUNDABLE. At the discretion of Mentawai Blue, some kind of compensation may be offered.
In the event of trip cancelations up to 60 days prior to departure due to airlines, weather, customers negligence, injury, death, or any other incidents beyond our control, all payments are NON REFUNDABLE.
Special rate trips are non refundable if cancelled by registrant within 90 days prior to departure.
Failure to pay balance as specified will result in loss of booking dates & deposit.
Mentawai Blue reserves the right to provide a substitute vessel should the booked vessel be unavailable for any reason. Final price charged will be as published for the substitute vessel.
Substitution of a vessel qualifies passengers for a refund limited to the difference between the higher price paid and the rack rate for the substitute vessel only.
Special rates are available for low season expeditions (January, February, November and December before Christmas).
For Non-Exclusive Charter please bear in mind that we need minimum 8 guest to run a trip.
All bookings and related services provided by Mentawai Blue to each Client are governed by Indonesia’s laws. Each Client agrees to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts and other complaints or dispute resolution tribunal of Padang in West Sumatra, Indonesia.

Prices can vary/change without notice in the eventuality of rate exchange US$/IDR and/or price of Fuel increase. We may apply a surcharge to cover those costs.
For all passengers boarding a Mentawai Blue vessel a travel insurance including Medi-Vac coverage (treatment and evacuation in case of an accident) is mandatory.
Payment or part payment constitutes your acceptance of these terms.
B.Liability
No passenger is permitted to be on top deck of a Mentawai Blue vessel ALONE from after 8pm while motoring.
For all passengers boarding a Mentawai Blue vessel a travel insurance including Medi-Vac coverage (treatment and evacuation in case of an accident) is mandatory.
Mentawai Blue assumes no liability for any trip cancelations, damages, loss of property or additional expenses resulting from delays due to airlines, weather, customers negligence, injury or death, or any other incidents beyond our control.
The captain reserves the right to remove any passengers from a Mentawai Blue vessel who endanger the well being and/or safety of the vessel, the crew, or other passengers, in accordance with maritime law.
No illegal drugs are tolerated onboard a Mentawai Blue vessel. The captain reserves the right to remove any passenger violating this rule from the vessel immediately.
