A. Bookings and Payments


 

  • US$ 500 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit per person per booking or US$ 5000 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit per charter is required to secure your booking.
  • Payment of deposit is due within 5 working days after the booking is made.
  • Unsecured bookings will be held for 5 working days or until required by other clients.
  • Demand for prime time is heavy and it is recommended that bookings are made and deposits paid to avoid disappointment.
  • In the event of cancellation by registrant deposit is non refundable but transferable up to 90 days prior to departure with the consent of Mentawaiblue.
  • Failure to pay balance as specified will result in loss of booking dates & deposit.
  • Mentawaiblue reserves the right to provide a substitute vessel should the booked vessel be unavailable for any reason. Final price charged will be as published for the substitute vessel.
  • Substitution of a vessel qualifies passengers for a refund limited to the difference between the higher price paid and the rack rate for the substitute vessel only.
  • Special rates are available for low season expeditions (January, February, November and December before Christmas).
  • For Non-Exclusive Charter please bear in mind that we need minimum 8 guest to run a trip. 
  • Payment or part payment constitutes your acceptance of these terms.
  • All bookings and related services provided by Mentawaiblue to each Client are governed by Indonesia’s laws. Each Client agrees to submit to the jurisdiction of the courts and other complaints or dispute resolution tribunal of Padang in West Sumatra, Indonesia.
  • Add (if required) extra nights and hotel accommodation in Padang at US$40/50/60/70.- twin share basis
  • Prices can vary/change without notice in the eventuality of rate exchange US$/IDR and/or price of Fuel increase. We may apply a surcharge to cover those costs.
  • For all passengers boarding a Mentawai Blue vessel a travel insurance including Medi-Vac coverage (treatment and evacuation in case of an accident) is mandatory.
  • No illegal drugs are tolerated onboard a Mentawai Blue vessel. The captain has the right to remove any passenger violating this rule from the vessel at the closest island.
  • Mentawai Blue assumes no liability for any damages or loss of property, additional expenses resulting from delays due to weather or mechanical problems, injury or death, or any other incidents beyond our control.
B.Liability

 

  •  No passenger is permitted to be alone on top deck of a MentawaiBlue vessel from after 8pm while the Naga Laut is moving.
  •  For all passengers boarding a MentawaiBlue vessel a travel insurance including Medi-Vac coverage (treatment and evacuation in case of  an accident) is mandatory. 
  •  Mentawai Blue assumes no liability for any damages or loss of property, additional expenses, delays due to weather or mechanical  problems, injury, death,  and any other incidents beyond our control. 
  •  No illegal drugs are tolerated onboard a MentawaiBlue vessel. The captain has the right to remove any passenger violating this rule from  the vessel immediately.

 

What’s included/ What’s not included
  • Airport transfers to and from the boat.
  • Berth on board Naga Laut in one of 5 twin-share cabins.
  • Towels and all toiletries (just bring your toothbrush)
  • 2 breakfasts, lunch and dinner.
  • Plenty of in between snacks, including fresh fruit, chocolate bars and more.
  • Drinking water, hot tea and coffee.
  • 4 beers per day, unlimited soft drink and juice.
  • Use of fishing and snorkeling equipment, spear guns and shore excursions.
  • All necessary zone permits.
  • US$ 3 a day Mentawai Government Tax.
  • Internet access on the boat.

 

What’s not included

  • Mentawai Surfer Tax (USD$ 75/pax)
  • Photography. (For only $150 pp, get unlimited photos)
  • Flights to and from Padang
  • Hotel in Padang if needed
  • Visa Fees and Departure Tax
  • Any additional cost resulting form late arrival or the need of early departure
  • Use of satellite phone
  • Spirits and any other alcoholic beverages exceeding the 4 Beers a day
